Voici la lettre que j’ai envoyée à son fan club, pour ses 60 ans. Les fans pouvaient envoyer des lettres, des poèmes, des chansons… J’ai été très surprise et heureuse que ma lettre ait été publiée.
Dear Elton,
I’ve seen you four times on stage. Three times at Wembley, once in Cannes. This piano solo concert on December 15th, 2003 has changed my life. You made me want to write, but I find nobody to sing my texts. Each time I’ve seen you I cried, I was so happy to be there. You have magical hands!
When you have sung at the Nikaïa in Nice, I wasn’t there. I couldn’t go, I was very ill. In four months I went three times to the emergency. “Healing Hands” helped me a lot. “There’s a light, where the darkness ends”. Thank you to you and Bernie for all these beautiful songs. Thank you for “I Still Standing” and the video that took place in Cannes and Nice on the Promenade des Anglais and inside the Hotel Negresco.
Now you are sitting in the South of France. You own a house in Nice. You are free man of Nice. We are proud to have you with us. You are the king of Nice. I raise a glass and drink to your health.
Thank you for your music and all the charity work you do. You are a wonderful human being and your music will always be alive.
